Apply today for SC Bach’s 2025 Student Competition

The competition is open to students ages 16-22 (must be within the age range as of February 15, 2025).
Round 1: Application form and digital music file submitted electronically along with the $25 application fee. All submitted applications must include an audio recording of the student performing a work by Johann Sebastian Bach (single or multiple movements, up to 15 minutes in length). Instrumental and/or vocal performances welcomed.
Round 2: Judges will choose six (6) finalists who will perform in Greenville, SC on February 15, 2025. The performance will begin at 3:00 pm and end by 4:30 pm, with a reception following to celebrate the winners.
Applications are due by January 24, 2025.
Six finalists will be invited to Greenville for the final, in-person, public performance on February 15, 2025. A panel of judges will select the winners, which will be announced at a reception following the performance. The venue for the final round will be chosen based on the instrumental needs of the finalists.
